The bench · what customers wrote

Seven jobs, described by the people they happened to.

Every one of these came from somebody who got their files back: a Dell laptop with a ransom demand on the screen, an HP RAID-5 belonging to a firm's own client, a Windows machine stuck on a boot error, an SD card out of a photoshoot. Nothing has been tidied up. The wording, the spelling and the towns are all theirs.

Many thanks to Cardiff Data Recovery and your data recovery engineers on the recent recovery of the HP RAID-5 data belonging to our client.

Claire Ramsey · Barry

There were years worth of my irreplaceable Pictures and Videos on my Windows computer which had a boot error.

Ben Thornhill · Caerphilly

My SD card corrupted and all of my pictures were lost from a photoshoot I had done.

Micky Mellon · Adamsdown

My Hitachi external drive had stopped working, and their expert data recovery service recovered every single one of our precious file data in rapid time.

Arthur Canton · Cardiff

Tony and the Cardiff Data Recovery team did an excellent job of recovering file data that others considered lost and unrecoverable.

Ely Williams · Wales

Great result guys. You truly delivered as promised. I got a no way to recover my files anywhere else.

Gwen Jones · Newport

I switched on my Dell laptop to see a message that all of my files were encrypted and I had to pay to get them back.

Jane Heath · Merthyr Tydfill

What the seven jobs share.

What keeps coming up across the seven

  • No two of the seven failed the same way — a Dell laptop with everything encrypted, a Windows computer stuck on a boot error, an HP RAID-5, a Hitachi external drive, an SD card from a shoot. Two more never say what the machine was, only that the files came home. That mix is an ordinary month here.
  • Two of them had already been told it was hopeless — one had tried elsewhere and got nowhere, and another says the files had been written off as unrecoverable by somebody else. A third picks out how fast the drive came back. Looking costs nothing here, so a second opinion is cheap.
  • One review is business data, and it was not even the customer's own — an HP RAID-5 that a Barry firm held on behalf of a client, so a second organisation was waiting on the result as well. Arrays and servers come in here alongside the laptops. If a firm has stopped working, say so on the phone and you will be told honestly where you stand on time.
  • Whatever they named, there is a page here about it — laptops and PCs, RAID 5 arrays, external drives, memory cards, ransomware. Pick the one that matches your own failure and it sets out how that job is actually run.

Plainly put: every word above was written by a customer. Nothing bought, no stock pictures, none of the staging you get on review sites — one of them spells her own town Merthyr Tydfill, and that is how it stays. When your job is finished we put the same request to you: a few honest sentences, and the town you are in if you do not mind saying.

Number eight has not been written yet.

Diagnosis costs nothing, the quoted price is fixed and written down, and the handling is what those seven describe.
