Is my postcode on your list?

Yes, wherever a tracked courier will deliver. Most of it comes from the CF and NP postcodes — the city, the Valleys, the Vale and Gwent — though parcels arrive from all over Britain, and we pay for the journey home.

Is the post itself a risk?

How it is packed matters far more than how far it travels. A drive in its own external enclosure may travel as it is, but a NAS or RAID array comes apart first — send the bare disks, numbered by bay. A drive out of a laptop, PC or DVR goes bare as well. Pad every face, and use tracking and insurance.

Can you come and collect it?

No, and we do not use a courier round either. Tracked post is quicker than a driver and there is less to go wrong with it. If you would rather not post it, the Bristol lab takes drop-offs on weekdays. For servers, big arrays or anything held as evidence, give us a ring and we will settle on a route.

I live miles away — would someone closer be better?

Distance barely matters in this work. What matters is who has the drive open in front of them, and whether you get told the truth about it. Your box is unpacked and read the morning it arrives.
